Earthrace - new world record for a powerboat to circumnavigate the globe - 100% biodiesel, 100% Carbon Neutral

I am not very into the 'setting a world record' thing, but apparently a lot of people are, like the 'Grease to Greece' race that I have mention in my last post. But the positive thing about such attempts is that they usually attract a lot of media attention, which is very good for promotion (for sponors, the concept of biofuel and a green message in this case).

Back to the Earthrace, it is a powerboat powered 100% by biodiesel. It started its journey from Vulkan Shipyard, Sagunto, Spain on Sunday 27 April 2008, finished on 27 June 2008. It set the world record of 60 day 23 minutes 49 seconds to circumnavigate the globe, which is about 14 days faster than the previous world record, congratulation, congratulation!
